AUSTRIAN NATIONAL DAY
Each year Austrian National Day is celebrated in a special way in the city center of Vienna. The Army and Austrians highest politicians gather with almost one million people around the Heldenplatz (heroes plaza)to celebrate together.
That day the army shows many of their special weapons, helicopters etc. to the public which are there to protect Austria and to help in cases of necessity within and outside of the country.

Long night of open churches. Special day, where once per year about 190 churches are open all night long in and around Vienna, offering a programm with a broad spiritual variety.
